ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an investigational 11-amino-acid peptide derived from the helix-B region of erythropoietin (EPO). It was designed to study tissue-protective signaling through the proposed innate repair receptor (IRR) while separating this activity from EPO's erythropoietic effects.
